There is no single Praxis score-release day for every test

Praxis official score timing varies by test and delivery method. ETS posts your official score report in your Praxis account on the reporting date for the assessment you took. Because Praxis includes many different tests, do not rely on a generic statement such as "all scores arrive in two weeks." Use the official score-reporting calendar for your exact test and test date.

Where Praxis scores appear

Your official score report is posted in the Score Reports area of your Praxis account. The reporting date shown by ETS is the date to use for planning certification paperwork, educator-preparation-program deadlines and job applications that depend on an official result.

Special 2026 Elementary Education Fundamentals timing

For the first Praxis Steps rollout, ETS published a faster schedule for Elementary Education Fundamentals 8002-8005. Candidates who tested September 1-5, 2026 were scheduled to receive official reports after 5 p.m. ET on September 11. ETS states that candidates taking those full tests or individual Steps after September 6, 2026 receive their score report within seven calendar days after the test date.

At-home and test-center timing can differ

ETS's score tool asks for the test and whether you tested at home or at a test center because delivery method can affect the date. Select the exact combination you used. If you search with the wrong delivery type, you may plan around the wrong reporting date.

What an unofficial score means

Some Praxis tests may display an unofficial score or raw information after testing, but that is not a substitute for the official score report. Certification agencies use official reporting. If your test does not display an unofficial result immediately, that alone does not indicate a problem.

Why official scoring may take time

Different Praxis tests use different question formats and scoring processes. Selected-response assessments can have different reporting cycles from tests with constructed-response components. ETS's official calendar accounts for the test-specific process, so it is more reliable than estimating from another candidate's experience.

How score recipients work

During registration, Praxis candidates can designate score recipients according to current ETS rules. The registration flow currently includes up to four agencies or institutions as free recipients. Check the names and codes carefully before finalizing registration so your official score reaches the correct state agency or educator preparation program.

What to do if your score is not posted

  1. Confirm the official reporting date for your exact test code.
  2. Confirm whether your test was at home or at a center.
  3. Sign in to the correct Praxis account and open Score Reports.
  4. Check whether the reporting date has actually passed in the relevant U.S. time zone.
  5. If the date has passed and no report appears, use official Praxis customer support rather than creating a second account.

Do not confuse score release with state certification

An official Praxis score is one component of certification. A state may also require a specific qualifying score, coursework, background checks, an educator-preparation program or other requirements. Passing the test does not automatically issue a teaching license.

How long should you leave before a deadline?

Do not schedule your Praxis test on the assumption that a score will appear instantly. Work backward from the licensing or program deadline using the official reporting date, then add time for score transmission and agency processing. If your deadline is close, confirm requirements directly with the receiving state or program.
