What this calculator does

Calculate the minimum whole number of correct answers needed for a target accuracy rate. It performs only the arithmetic described on this page. Enter values from the same course, practice set, score report, or scoring scale so the result remains meaningful.

Formula and worked method

Required correct answers = ceiling(total questions × target percentage). The ceiling prevents a fractional question from understating the requirement. The result is recalculated immediately after you submit the form, and the displayed precision does not create extra certainty beyond the values entered.
