Purpose of this Digital SAT resource
This formula sheet organizes exponential models relationships used in Digital SAT Math. A formula is useful only when each symbol, condition, and unit is understood, so the page pairs memory cues with selection and verification steps.
Key ideas to understand
- Formula or rule: y=a(b)^x.
- Formula or rule: growth factor 1+r.
- Formula or rule: decay factor 1-r.
Step-by-step method
- Name the target quantity and known values with units.
- Choose a formula whose conditions match the problem.
- Substitute with parentheses and retain exact values when practical.
- Check sign, size, units, and the original conditions.
Worked application
For exponential models, write the relationship before entering numbers. Explain why it applies, complete the calculation, and use substitution, estimation, or a graph to verify.
How to practice and review
Attempt the skill without notes, record confidence before checking, and write a correction that identifies the exact reason for every miss. Repeat the idea later with different numbers or wording. Exams.fit questions are original independent practice and do not reproduce College Board questions. Use Bluebook and College Board resources for the official testing experience.
