Use these original questions to identify the relevant course domain, explain the decision, and practice responsible error correction. Assessment design
The set samples all five domains: cell injury and inflammation, fluid and electrolyte change, immune dysfunction, cardiovascular and respiratory disorders, endocrine and renal disorders. Complete it closed-note first, then review explanations and retry changed-condition versions.
Scoring and correction
Score one point per correct choice, but also require a spoken or written reason. A correct guess is not stable mastery. Log the first unsupported move and schedule a delayed recheck.
Timing
Use an untimed learning attempt first; add realistic timing only when the local course requires it.
Reliable method
begin with normal function, identify the initiating change, trace compensation and consequences, connect findings, and state uncertainty Keep assumptions, intermediate reasoning, units, sources, tool use, and checks visible so another learner can follow the decision process.
Representative application
Trace how impaired pump function changes pressure, perfusion, compensation, and observable findings across systems. Predict a reasonable result before working, compare the outcome with the prediction, and explain limitations or alternative interpretations.
Error recovery
Watch for memorizing disease lists without starting from normal physiology or distinguishing cause, compensation, sign, and complication. Mark the first unsupported move, classify the cause, correct the reasoning, and schedule a fresh mixed recheck after a delay.
